Sudetenland was an area in Czechoslovakia, mostly home to ethnic Germans. In 1938, Adolf Hitler claimed it should be part of Germany to protect German-speaking people. This led to the Munich Agreement, where Britain, France, Italy, and Germany allowed Germany to take control of Sudetenland. This decision increased tensions in Europe and was one of the steps that eventually led to World War II.
